Contractor of Choice – Mladen Buntich Construction Co. was contracted by the East Bay Municipal Utilities District.

This project included rehabilitation and upgrading approximately 4,690LF of 105 inch interceptor sewer line.
This project was constructed in live flow at 40 MGD with a peak flow of 160 MGD that could not be bypassed.
This project was lined with 96” ID – 99.5” OD HOBAS CCFRPM Pipe. Buntich set a sliplining record by pushing
2,625 LF of 99.5” pipe in one push. This is the largest diameter of pipe ever pushed that far from one lining pit.
Odor was controlled by sodium hypochlorite injections. Five manholes were rehabilitated with PVC liner on
this project.
